What to expect at the Yoga Extension, Glasgow

The Yoga Extension offers a full timetable of Iyengar yoga classes in the centre of Glasgow. Here you can learn the fundamentals in level 1 and build up to the more challenging postures in level 3. Make sure to look at our class passes that offer fantastic value for money!

Beginners yoga courses and workshops run throughout the year for those who want to be more confident on their yoga mat. We also run regular themed workshops that give you a deeper insight into your yoga practice.

Frances Mckee opened the original Yoga Extension studio in Jordanhill in 2006. In January 2017, it moved to its new home between Charing Cross and Finnieston. The studio allows up to 20 students to practice in a light and spacious atmosphere. Mats and equipment are provided. There is also a basement changing area and toilet facilities.

Frances has been teaching Iyengar Yoga for over 20 years. By continuing to study and improve her own practice, she brings fresh insight to each class. The Yoga Extension is the place to learn under her expertise. All our teachers are Iyengar certified and you can meet them in the ‘our studio’ page.

Iyengar Yoga is a very safe and precise form of yoga. We work through a carefully graded and systematic programme of asana (posture). This ensures a well-founded yoga practice. Practising yoga helps you overcome and prevent many stresses, strains, aches and pains. It promotes health and wellbeing. And it’s fun!

We look forward to welcoming you at the studio soon

“Online classes with The Yoga Extension have been a total lockdown saviour for me. It’s allowed me to keep some sort of routine and as a bonus, I’m stronger and calmer then I’ve ever been.” Beth
